Lord of the Rings Review
Wow! what a show! I had the chance to go to the opening of the Lord of the Rings theatre show yesterday in Toronto – unbelievable! This has got to be the best show that I have seen by far – (before this, my favourite was the London version of The Producers). The whole evening was a serious production with the who’s who of Toronto and Canadian entertainment scene in attendance – yeah, yeah, I’m questioning why I was invited as well… I’ve seen some critics complaining about the show because you can’t tell if it is a musical or a story – what a stupid complaint! who cares what you clasify it as… it was damn entertaining. The sets were phenomenal, acting great (especially Gollum – Michael Therrialt was great in this – perfect mix of humour, rage, and madness), and the way in which they made the characters of Middle Earth come to life was incredible. It didn’t feel like the story lacked at all – if anything, it kept more to the storyline than the movies did by keeping the proper ending. This has got to be seen. I’m definitely going to see it again.
