Green Papaya – four stars

Categories: Restaurants, Toronto

Found another great restaurant – Green Papaya at 2401 Yonge Street. Although the Yonge and Eglington area is dying out lately, this restaurant is worth venturing to. The look of the place is pretty cool – minimalistic but still upscale – has a mixed aged crowd with a lot of eye-candy, and with a bit of a buzz. It’s a reat place for a chill Saturday night. The best part though, was the food – the menu is a mix of Vietnamese and Thai dishes. After debating for way too long, I finally decide on the rack of lamb. I was actually unsure about trying it – but being on my low carb kick, I didn’t have much of a choice. It was unbelievable – the only annoying bit was that I was only given a butter knife, but considering that the lamb was so tender, it wasn’t much of a prob. The rest of the dishes were great too – the portions are huge, so keep that in mind when you’re ordering though!
