Book Review: The First 90 Days — 3*
An ok book – it rambles a lot at times, but there are some very clear tools which are useful. I was expecting a book that was very distinct in ‘do x in the first 30 days, and y in the net 30 days’, but was a bit more loose than that describing all the different things you need to do, but not necessarily sequentially. The book also seems more focused on traditionally built organizations which are falling to the way side fast — it take a bit of extrapolation to map the techniques to more dynamic and loosely designed organizations which are more norm in software (or perhaps Silicon Valley). A good read for downtime between roles though.
